Browse The Web Anonymously With Torfox
Everybody cares about privacy, right ? Privacy while browsing the web is an important concern. Various traffic metric analysis programs by companies like Google can track your browsing habits. Every computer and server on the Internet has what is called an IP address which is used for different computers to identify each other.
It’s just like leaving your fingerprints everywhere.
This is why you should browse the web anonymously with Torfox.
Torfox is a mashup between the anonymity software Tor and the Mozilla’s browser Firefox.
The thing is that Torfox never connects directly to the internet. Check out this screenshot:
As you can see Torfox is connecting to the website through a lot of different IP’s ( Remote address ). This means that it’s a secure anonymous browser by routing all connections through 3 different proxies and by disabling insecure features such as disk cache, JavaScript and other plugins.
Enough with the tech stuff. It’s free just like Firefox and Tor and open source – yey, this means it can be trusted – but even if it’s based on Tor and Mozilla technology Torfox is not endorsed by either of them.
And if you’re travelling a lot you can use Torfox’s portable version by download it as a ZIP file [ 9.4 MB ] and extracting it to your USB flash drive without installing anything.
