How many gadgets do you carry with you every day ? Probably a mobile phone, an mp3 player and a digital camera if you’re into pictures.

What if you could carry just one that can do all the things the gadgets earlier can do and more ?

The new LG Chocolate Touch can play rich sound quality through stereo headphones or external speakers ( 3.5mm jack ), has a 3.2 MP camera that has a default resolution of 2048x 1536 (and an image editor), Text to Speech, Voice-Activated Dialing for it’s 1,000 entries in the phonebook, an One-touch Social Network Message Key for easy use of Mobile Blogging (Facebook, MySpace, Twitter, etc.) and – probably the nicest feature – Rhythmical Beat which vibrates the handset to the beat of the music.

I am going to buy one. After reading a few user reviews I saw that it has an excellent battery life ( 5-6 hours talk time ), excellent call quality, responsive touch screen, FM radio ( if you plug a wired handset ) and the Dolby Mobile equalizer. The equalizer has 5 presets (Flat, Bass Boost, Treble Boost, Vocal Boost, and Classical) and a manual equalizer if you really want it customized. The player also includes a visualizer effect.

Will you buy one and get rid of your current phone, mp3 player and camera ?

The xpPhone has a 4.8-inch touchscreen, GPS, notebook-specs, and runs a full-blown copy of Windows XP. Seriously. And while I’m still skeptical about the use of XP, the phone has come a long way since I saw it at Computex.

China’s In Technology Group (ITG) has now posted an English-friendly page for pre-orders – there’s no price yet, they’re essentially seeing who’s interested. If you are, you can choose a 3G module for carrier’s necessary frequency (AT&T, Vodafone, and Orange are listed).

Not only has the QWERTY-slider much improved cosmetically since I first saw a working prototype in June, but we now know the full specifications ( below). They’re crazy, no? Not listed is that the solid-state and standard hard disks are both included, for when you need to save power.

It almost sounds too good to be true, so I’ll be watching this one closely. The xpPhone could either be one of the most powerful phones yet, or an almost one pound failure of epic proportions. I’ll let you know when I find out more on pricing/availability – or any plans for an actual U.S (non-import) release.

HTC has announced the first smartphone made specially with Windows Mobile 6.5 in mind – with the HTC Touch2 smartphone carrying the new Windows Phone moniker.

The phone – described by HTC as compact and stylish is the successor to the popular HTC Touch, and will take advantage of new Microsoft features such as MyPhone and Windows Marketplace.

The HTC Touch2 delivers a familiar touch experience that millions of people have come to expect and rely on from HTC in their daily lives

said Peter Chou, Chief Executive Officer, HTC Corporation.

Whether it’s making a call, checking in with a friend or simply responding to an important email, the HTC Touch2 puts you in touch and in control.

The phone, which includes HTC’s TouchFLO technology, Google Maps for Mobile, YouTube and more, will also feature the newly designed Internet Explorer for mobile and all the Exchange email goodies you would expect from a Windows Phone.

Windows Phone, starting with the eagerly anticipated Windows Mobile 6.5 software, was announced by Microsoft this week for a release date of 6 October

The HTC Touch2 will initially be available to customers on October 6 with broad availability in a variety of European and Asian markets in early Q4 2009.

Really, how many of you feel safe in their own house ? How many of you were burglered and found yourself without your big screen TV and playstation ?
And I bet some of you have some sort of security system installed in your home. This is why I suggest you get a better wireless security system from ProtectAmerica.com .

I recommend their Copper Package because it’s the most affordable home security package available. You will get a talking control panel, one motion detector, an internal siren, 1 yard sign, a door chime and 3 windows decals. Of course you’ll get the user’s manual and an installation dvd.

The motion detector should be installed either in the most common living area or a central hallway in your home and the window decals at your outside doors.
You can get more sensors if you have a bigger home with more outside doors and windows because most break-ins occur through an outside door or window.

If you’re planning to buy some other package or you just aren’t sure what package is the best for your home you can call this toll free number [ 877-470-2751 ] and get some more information. You will also get 2 key chain remotes with your order if you call the number.

As the name suggests, Motorola’s new w7 Active Edition slider is targeted at sporty types, but the physical effort does not stop with the built-in pedometer and personal trainer application.

It appears that Motorola is jumping on the accelerometer bandwagon big time with this one – users can control functions on the phone with simple hand gestures:

Shake up your everyday phone experience by controlling Motorola W7 using simple hand gestures, taps and flicks. Flip the phone over to silence the ringer of an incoming call, snooze the alarm clock or pause the music. Shake twice to instantly launch your favorite application, such as the music player. When showing off your photo albums or music libraries, flick the phone right or left to move between songs and images.

The Moto W7 also features a 2.0 megapixel camera and it runs on a 3G network – although it appears that only customers in Asia and Latin America will be able to get their hands on one in the foreseeable future.

Apparently, the kickstand on the Nokia N86 8MP is actively connected to the phone, unlike the N96’s, which was simply a piece of plastic. The N86 8MP’s kickstand is able to launch any application on the phone whenever you pop it out, which is definitely a cool little feature.

As you can see in these screenshots, you can set this kickstand to launch any number of handy applications, such as the video player, photo browser, or messaging. This could be awesome if you have it set to open the video player quickly, or for you guys in the U.K., the BBC iPlayer that’s sure to be available. I would likely have mine set to open Mobbler, so that I could quickly start streaming music when I flip that kickstand open.

What application would you set your kickstand to, if you had the Nokia N86 8MP?

If you’ve been getting bored of your Versa’s QWERTY module you will surely love this: as promised, the snap-on game pad is now available. It slides along the back of the phone’s body for storage (unlike the QWERTY, which requires that polarizingly-designed brown leather wallet) and features an 8-way directional pad, four dedicated SNES-style gaming buttons, and the envy of absolutely everyone you’ve ever known.

You can buy it for only $29.99 – you wouldn’t want to be that one chump Versa owner who doesn’t buy it, would you?

Nokia 1100 handsets manufactured in Germany are in high demand from criminal networks due to a software flaw that can apparently be exploited to intercept the one-time passwords used to authorize online bank transactions.

Police contacted Ultrascan Advanced Global Investigations six months ago, reporting that a Nokia 1100, originally sold for €100, had been sold for €5,000 – and asked what was leading to the high demand. 10 days ago, investigators saw one of the exploitable handsets fetch €25,000.

Since launching in late 2003, over 200 million of the handsets were sold – but don’t get excited if you’ve got one lying around the house. Only handsets manufactured in a particular factory in Bochum, Germany contain the vulnerable Nokia software.

According to Frank Engelsman from Ultrascan, criminals have thousands of usernames and passwords for online banking accounts in countries including Germany and Holland. These countries also require a transaction authentication number (TAN) to complete any online transactions. The TAN codes were initially distributed to customers on paper, many codes at a time, however successful phishing attacks led to the codes being issued one at a time via SMS messages.

An Ultrascan informant claims the vulnerable 1100 handsets can be reprogrammed to spoof a phone number, and intercept the SMS containing the TAN. Ultrascan has yet to obtain the particular model of phone to verify the attack.
