PostBootable Android Phone: Always ready to format c: / y

I bet that this happened to each of you. Your OS broke down and your computer doesn’t boot anymore. No problem ! You go to your cd’s case and look for your bootable cd. As expected it’s not there and you remember that you gave that cd to one of your friends. So now you have to go to another computer and write another bootable cd.

What if you always had a bootable gadget so you won’t have to look around for your bootable cd. Well, now you can.

I used an OnePlus One for this and it will surely work for other Android phones. All you have to do is to install DriveDroid from the Play Store: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.softwarebakery.drivedroid&hl=ro and also have a ROOTED phone. Here’s the tutorial I used to root my OnePlus One: https://forums.oneplus.net/threads/oneplus-one-how-to-unlock-bootloader-install-custom-recovery-and-root.64487/

From the app you can download operating systems from your phone (like Mint, Ubuntu, Fedora, OpenSUSE and Arch Linux). Around 35 different systems are available at this moment. You can also add your own images by copying them to your phone and them going to + and Add image from file

And there you have it ! Your bootable OnePlus One.
