PostThe Mummy From Vacaresti, Romania

An old man dead 28 years ago got back through the locals of Vacaresti, Dambovita Romania. Not alive but his body was incredibly conserved.

This video is in romanian but the translation is below:

His relatives decided to exhume his body to make room for a descendant. When he saw his body, the gravedigger was speechless. He is working for decades in that cemetery but never saw anything like this. Arrived in a great hurry his relatives immediately recognized “nea Gheorghe” who died about 30 years ago.

“This is Gods work” his son said remembering that his father cried when his son read him from the Bible before he died. For hours, on a very warm day people couldn’t leave the cemetery. They were staring at “nea Gheorghe”‘s mummy.

The weirdest thing is that the mummy had no smell. Specialists say that this could happen if the tomb was ventilated so the water could easily evaporate from the body. Another possibility is that of a perfect embalmment but it’s hard to believe that it was made to a poor old man from a small village in Romania almost 30 years ago.

Nea Gheorghe’s mummy was buried again, not in the tomb but directly in the ground.
