An useful blog – Max Web Design
Browsing the web I find a lot of good stuff written by good people.
But today a blog caught up my eyes and my time.
I spent about 2 hours reading through the posts Robert G and 3 more guys wrote on the blog for web design.
When talking about a website I always start with it’s design. Max Web Design has a simple layout, fast loading and easy on the eyes. Their logo is a drawing but it’s cool.
That being said comes the most important part. The content. In one of their featured post they explain pretty well why backlinks are important.
Here’s the best part part of the article in my opinion:
As with content though, using the number of links to and from a site to measure significance is an imperfect method. A page can conceivably be the best page on a particular subject, yet have few links to it.
and they are totally right.
You may have the best article on the web on any subject … but if you don’t have backlinks to it you surely won’t be ranked to high in search engine results.
Another thing worth mentioning from this post is:
Just because I publish a page today doesn’t mean it’s worse than a page that was published five years ago and now has many links to it.
That means you shouldn’t create a website or a blog for search engines … you will never make it.
Blogging about your passion, using your own words and ideas will get you to the top.
Overall the blog deserves a 9 out of 10. 9 for the layout and 10 for the content.
It is a very good read and I suggest you bookmark it or subscribe to it’s feed. I know I did.
